|This second volume of Professor Ian Stevenson presents ten meticulously investigated cases in Sri Lanka. The lives of the subjects have been traced for years. A great amount of information has also been derived about the lives of the previous personalities, and through interviews with families and friends. Their characters have been accurately reconstructed in nearly every case.
Research indicates that the subject displayed a kind of behavior unusual in his family but that corresponded to that of a previous personality. Close comparisons between the two lives suggest which personal traits may carry over with reincarnation.
Each report contains a comprehensive discussion by the author of the weak and strong features of the case. The author also observes the extent to which memories of the previous life faded or persisted as the subject matured. Additional research has revealed that extrasensory perception is not a plausible interpretation of any of the case.
Taken collectively, they are the best reports the world has seen in twenty years. "Parapsychology Review"
